Common Resolve Declaration

Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. More than mere words. 56 brave men signed their names on
the Declaration of Independence in 1776. At stake were their lives and the lives of future generations.

Today we have a similar situation. Instead of the tyranny of British rule, we have the tyranny of
professional politicians spending us in to slavery. The slavery of debt is more insidious that slavery itself in that
debt hides behind different curtains. Curtains of entitlements, earmarks, policy, subsidies and power.

Our children will be saddled with debt and they will pass it to their children and so on and so on...

This is unacceptable!

Politicians are elected to represent the will of the people who elected them, PERIOD!
Our forefathers were non-partisan and put it all on the line for Liberty and Freedom. Their love of
Liberty and Freedom was the only issue, not career politics.

Our elected officials have lost sight of the history of America in their quest for power. Career politicians
whose only agenda is re-election have ignored the same people who elected them. We as Americans must
shoulder some of the responsibility, after all, we elected them.

A new America awaits the brave new souls who have the fortitude to say ENOUGH!
Brave enough to make that vote for a new face in government.
Brave enough to sacrifice for future generations.

We, the undersigned, declare and resolve to take back America.
Take back America with our vote. No longer will we vote on popularity or what's in it for me?
Our vote will be for Americas future generations, for elected officials that no longer want to enslave
it's citizens behind curtains, and for Life, Liberty and Happiness for all.

Don't Be fearful

The election is over.

It did not go the way we wanted it to go.

Never lose sight of the fight that took place 232 years ago.

The fight for freedom and liberty does not come cheap.

Fight for Conservative values and principles in everyone running for the next two elections. The fight starts today to recognize fresh new leaders and put them in office.

Four years will be here before we know it and chances are the country will be in worse shape. That will be a positive for Conservatives.

Trying Times

Thomas Paine wrote:

"These are times that try men's souls."

Did our forefathers think this would happen?

$9.4 Trillion debt
$400 Billion per year in interest payments
Professional politicians that are in constant re-election mode
Runaway waste and deception
Anything goes to be elected
Nearly as many votes on American Idol as a Presidential election

I could and will go on and on and will on later posts.

The point here is we have lost our way. Political correctness and the flavor of the month have enslaved our country. It is a sad state of affairs that a sense of history over common sense could decide the 2008 election.

I'm not going to sit idly by. 90% of Congress is voted in year after year with no thought of what that vote may mean. It's time for the status quo in Washington to change and that begins with thoughtful, forward thinking votes. The American people need to vote and vote with their head and not their emotions.

We have the power to make these elected officials quake in their collective boots. The question is: Do we have the guts to do it?

Resolve to Make America Great Again!

232 years ago 56 brave men stood in Independence Hall in Philadelphia and signed the Declaration of Independence. At great risk to themselves and their families they stood up and created Liberty and Freedom for all of us. Please read the following words from the Declaration of Independence:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness........
....But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Note the highlighted words. It is time for the American people to take back our country. For too long now both political parties have laid waste to our country. Special interests. lobbyists and professional politicians have decided that their interests are more important than the will of the people. Those 56 men in Philadelphia did not dream of government with enormous debt at the mercy of foreign energy concerns.

I his 1776 pamphlet Common Sense, Thomas Paine wrote " a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right." As a literary work, Common Sense was the inspiration for Thomas Jefferson in writing the Declaration of Independence.

What is the answer? The answer can best be explained by American Idol. Last week on American Idol 97,000,000 viewers voted for both Davids. In the 2004 election 121,000,000 votes were cast. If 97,000,000 people watch one TV show on one specific night, why couldn't 100,000,000 Americans change the face of Washington? With the internet, blogs, texting and television a new revolution can be born. A revolution of Americans, not Republicans and Democrats, who want to take their country back.

Imagine a force of 100,000,000 Americans saying NO to national debt, NO to earmarks, NO to professional politicians! At first they will not pay any attention to us. After we get 10,000,000 Americans they will notice but still ignore us. After we get 50,000,000 they will notice. 100,000,000 they will listen and act accordingly. If a professional politician knows 100,000,000 people will vote against them, they will change their old habits. If they don't, they lose. Business as usual in Washington can and will change.

Act is the operative word. The mainstream press and talk radio do a great deal of talking and some have some very good points. However, there is no action. All the greatest ideas in the world are useless without action.

How can we mobilize that many people? Simply ask them to join. The only issue at stake for our country is debt and spending. Our government is borrowing money at record levels. Today the national debt is $9.4 TRILLION! The interest payment alone on that debt is $400 BILLION per year. Record oil prices are a direct result of the weak dollar. The state of the economy is a direct result of the weak dollar. No matter how much rhetoric is spewed, we will never be able to afford healthcare in our current environment. The answer in Washington is not more money it is less. No one is holding Washington accountable; it is time for that to change. Elected officials work for us and we have the power to fire each and every one of them.

What can I do? You can do a lot. Soon a Common Resolve Declaration will be drafted. If you believe that we can do what those 56 men did 232 years ago, simply print your name on the Declaration. As the Declaration grows we will become more powerful. With power comes responsibility. Common Resolve will always remain non-partisan and true to the principles of the Declaration of Independence.
